The Indian Navy has inducted ‘Androth’, the second Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC), built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata. It Is Indigenously built Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft (ASW-SWC). It is Part of 8-ship series being inducted into the Indian Navy. Positioned In Intended for coastal security, anti-submarine patrols, and shallow-water operations in India’s maritime zones, especially around the Lakshadweep archipelago and other critical sea lanes. Developed By Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata – one of India’s premier defence shipyards. Aim is to Enhance anti-submarine warfare capability against underwater threats, Strengthen coastal surveillance and safeguard maritime borders.
