In a powerful example of inclusion and determination, Thanya Nathan, a young lawyer with visual impairment, has topped the Civil Judge (Junior Division) examination merit list among candidates with benchmark disabilities. Her achievement goes beyond personal success. It reflects India’s evolving approach towards an inclusive judiciary, where merit, not disability, defines capability.Thanya Nathan is a 24-year-old lawyer from Kannur district, Kerala. Born blind, she grew up in Mangad and completed her schooling in both specialised and mainstream institutions.
