Largely spared during World War II, it reflects a unique blend of Central and Eastern European styles with Italian and German influences.Founded in the late Middle Ages (mid-13th century) by King Daniel of Galicia.The ensemble has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1998.
