9th India International Water Week 2026:
The 9th India International Water Week (IIWW) 2026 was inaugurated at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, focusing on climate-resilient water management and global cooperation for water security.IIWW 2026: Organised by the Ministry of Jal Shakti from 22nd–26th September 2026 on the theme “Climate Resilient Water Management,” the event has evolved from India Water Week into an international platform for policy dialogue, technology exchange and global cooperation.IIWW 2026 brings together governments, multilateral organisations, research institutions, industries, start-ups and civil society. The Netherlands and Germany are partner countries, while 14 States and two Central Ministries are partner participants.The Union Minister of Jal Shakti highlighted major initiatives including Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana, Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari, Namami Gange, Atal Bhujal Yojana, National Aquifer Mapping and Management Programme (NAQUIM), Ken-Betwa Link Project and Dam Rehabilitation and Improvement Project (DRIP).
