Natural Farming (APCNF) program:

CM Adityanath Inaugurates Uttar Pradesh Mango Festival:

  • Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on June 12, in Lucknow that the State would be exporting 40 tonnes of mangoes to Japan and Malaysia.

India’s Industrial Production Growth Hits 5.9% in May 2024:

  • India’s industrial output expanded by 5.9% year-over-year, marking the highest growth in seven months.
  • This growth surpassed expectations, with notable contributions from electricity generation and consumer durables.
  • Sectoral Performance Electricity: Recorded a significant growth of 13.7%. Mining: Increased by 6.6%. Manufacturing: Grew at a moderate pace of 4.6%.

East India’s First Disabled Varsity at Ranchi: Jharkhand

  • The Jharkhand government is working on a plan to open eastern India’s first university for physically challenged students in Ranchi (Jharkhand) a minister said on June 11.
  • The proposed university will offer education according to the needs of students with disabilities.

Government to Launch ‘Agri Fund for Start-Ups & Rural Enterprises’ (AgriSURE):

  • The Government of India is set to launch the ‘Agri Fund for Start-Ups & Rural Enterprises’ (AgriSURE) to support start-ups and agripreneurs through investments in sector-specific, sector-agnostic, and debt Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), as well as direct equity support to start-ups working in agriculture and allied sectors.

RBI’s Financial Inclusion Index:

  • The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced that the Financial Inclusion Index (FI-Index) has risen to 64.2 in March 2024, up from 60.1 in March 2023, indicating significant progress in financial inclusion across the country.

National One Health Mission : Meeting

  • The Union Health Minister chaired the first executive committee meeting of the National One Health Mission.
  • The National One Health Mission was approved by the Prime Minister’s Science, Technology, and Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC) in 2022.

Vizhinjam International Seaport : First Cargo Ship

  • Kerala Chief Minister officially welcomed the first cargo ship, the Chinese vessel ‘San Fernando,’ at the Vizhinjam International Sea Port.
  • Developed by Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ), this marks the beginning of operations for India’s largest deep-water trans-shipment port.

e-Office:

  • The Indian government is set to implement the e-office system in 133 attached and subordinate offices, as well as autonomous bodies.
  • The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) will lead this initiative with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) serving as the knowledge partner.
