Justice Fathima Beevi, India’s 1st Woman Judge of Supreme Court, Passed Away:
- Justice M Fathima Beevi, India’s 1st woman Judge of Supreme Court of India and former Governor of Tamil Nadu(TN) passed away at the age of 96 in Kollam, Kerala. She was born in April 1927 in Pathanamthitta, Kerala.
- She was the 1st Muslim woman judge to be appointed to any higher judiciary.
- She was also the 1st woman to become a Supreme Court Justice in an Asian country.
IGNCA Launched a book titled “Mapping of the Archives in India”:
