- The second edition of India-Mozambique-Tanzania Trilateral Exercise concluded at Nacala, Mozambique on 28 Mar 24.
- The week-long exercise underscores the importance of enhanced maritime cooperation and interoperability between the Navies of India, Mozambique, and Tanzania.
SEBI cancels registration of Karvy Investor Services:
- Capital markets regulator the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has cancelled the registration of Karvy Investor Services Ltd. (KISL) as a merchant banker for breach of eligibility criteria.
CMD of New India Assurance Company:
- The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) has selected Girija Subramanian as chairman and managing director (CMD) of the New India Assurance Company.
- New India Assurance Company is India’s premier general insurance company. Established in 1919.
MEGHAYAN 2024:
- METOC (Meteorological and Oceanographic) seminar _’Meghayan-24’_ was conducted by School of Naval Oceanology & Meteorology (SNOM) and Indian Naval Meteorological Analysis Centre at Southern Naval Command on 28 Mar 24.
- It was based on the theme ‘At the Frontline of Climate Action’ as promulgated by WMO for 2024.
International Hockey Federation Athletes Committee:
- The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has appointed former Indian men’s hockey team captain and goalkeeper PR Sreejesh and Chile’s Camila Caram as co-chairs of the FIH Athletes Committee.
Additional Judge of J&K and Ladakh High Court:
- Justice Mohammad Yousuf Wani was administered the oath of office as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
- The oath was administered by Chief Justice N. Kotiswar Singh in Srinagar.
Introduction of digital US dollar fixed deposits : Axis bank
- Axis Bank has announced the introduction of digital US dollar fixed deposits (FDs) for NRI customers at the IFSC Banking Unit (IBU) at GIFT City, Gujarat.
- The bank has become the first to offer a digital journey for opening deposits at GIFT City
EV Charging Network:
- Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), a unit of Tata Motors, has announced a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) to establish a nationwide network of 5,000 public charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs) by the end of 2024.
Army Commanders’ Conference for the year 2024:
- The Indian Army is organizing the first Army Commanders’ Conference for the year 2024 in a hybrid mode.
- The virtual segment of the conference is scheduled for 28th March 2024, followed by the physical mode in New Delhi on 1st and 2nd April 2024.
