Indonesia has announced the major social media ban for children under 16. This path marking a significant step toward protecting minors from harmful online content. The government confirmed that the regulation will prevent children below sixteen from creating accounts on major digital platforms. This Indonesia social media ban was announced by Communication and Digital Affairs Minister of Indonesia’s Meutya Hafid. And he stated that children face serious threats online including cyberbullying, pornography exposure, online fraud and social media addiction.
