The rare Southern Birdwing, one of India’s largest butterflies, has been recorded in the Kollapur Range of the Amrabad Tiger Reserve, marking its first documented sighting in Telangana.

- It is India’s second largest butterfly
- It is the state butterfly of Karnataka.
