• The government cancels IDBI Bank’s asset valuer bid due to low interest, with only one bid received.

Private banks make largest single-day govt bond purchase in 7 years:

• Private sector banks collectively purchased government bonds totaling a net value of 83.43 billion rupees ($1 billion) in a single session.
• This transaction represents the largest such purchase since November 15, 2016, according to data from the Clearing Corp of India.
• The November buying spree surpassed 200 billion rupees, rebounding from net sales of 101 billion rupees in October.

RBI To Implement A New Penalty Framework For Banks:

• The proposed changes under consideration involve a potential increase in penalty amounts.
• This adjustment could be based on factors such as the size of the regulated entities, their systemic importance, and the frequency of repeat offenses

• His visit includes various official engagements of Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC)

Goldman Sachs projects India GDP Growth at 6.3% in 2024:

• According to India 2024 outlook from Goldman Sachs Group, Inc, India’s real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth is expected to decline marginally to 6.3% in 2024 from the 6.4% estimated for 2023.
• India’s GDP is projected to grow at 6.5% in FY25 compared to 6.2% in FY24.

Indian Comedian and actor Vir Das won the Emmy under the Comedy category :

• Award was for his Netflix stand-up special show “Vir Das: Landing”.
• With this, he became the first Indian Comedian to win the Emmy Award.

World Heritage Week 2023:

•  World Heritage Week (WHW) is annually observed across India from November 19 to 25 to promote the heritage and the culture of monuments and important sites for their conservation.

Meghalaya Launches ‘Food Security’ Campaign to Achieve Zero Hunger:

• Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Government of Meghalaya, launched the “Food Security Campaign” to sensitise the public about the National Food Security Act (NFSA) 2013 and strive to achieve United Nations(UN)’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2 – ‘Zero Hunger’ by 2030.
