- The International Day of Forests or World Forestry Day is coming up on March 21st, 2024! This global celebration highlights the vital role forests play in our planet’s health and well-being.
- The theme for International Day of Forests 2024 has been confirmed to be “Forests and Innovation.”
Global happiness index:
- India was ranked 126th out of 143 nations in a global happiness index which noted that older age is associated with higher life satisfaction in the world’s most populous country.
- Finland emerged as the happiest country in the world, topping the World Happiness Report 2024, the seventh successive year that the country has occupied the top spot on the list.
World’s most polluted city in 2023:
- Bihar’s Begusarai topped the list as the “most polluted metropolitan area in 2023”, while Delhi has been identified as the capital city with the “poorest air quality” among global nations, as per the findings of the World Air Quality Report 2023 by the Swiss organization IQAir.

- Sebi nod to T+0 settlement for limited stocks, eases norms for FPIs The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) approved same day settlement (T+0) for 25 scrips with select brokers along measures to bring flexibility for Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), and Foreign Portfolio Investments (FPIs).
