H5N1 Reassortant Virus:
Human cases of novel reassortant H5N1 Bird flu virus were reported in Cambodia.The novel reassortant virus results from the mixing of clade 2.3.2.1c, which had been circulating in Southeast Asia, with the global 2.3.4.4b clade.
H5N1 is one of several influenza viruses that causes a highly infectious respiratory disease in birds called avian influenza (or “bird flu”).
