Additional Charge as BCAS DG:
The Central Government has appointed Amrit Mohan Prasad, the Director General (DG) of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), to hold the additional charge as the Director General (DG) of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). This decision, which has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, highlights the government’s trust in Prasad’s leadership abilities. The appointment is set for six months, starting from November 1, 2024, or until the regular incumbent joins, whichever comes first.
